About Me

A woman arranging a large, colorful floral bouquet in a glass vase on a white table outdoors.

My name is Maddy Denney. I am 25 years old and have been an artist my entire life, always holding an eye for detail, color, and form. After graduating high school, I attended art school and majored in sculpture. I have worked with an array of art mediums, but my absolute favorite to work with is flowers.

Almost five years ago, while looking for part-time work, I found myself weeding the garden of Laura Wheeler from Humble Bouquet. She would often let me take home flowers that were on their last leg, and I was always so excited to take these half-dead blooms and create arrangements for myself. I quickly found myself completely captivated by the beauty and delicate nature of this art form.

Sharing my work with Laura, she recognized my natural talent and began to mentor me in floristry. Today, nearly five years later, I have freelanced and designed for dozens of weddings and installations for Laura as well as for other local florists.

I am currently managing a local floral shop and taking on many weddings and funerals there as well. Having developed a deep foundation of skills and experience in floral design, I am incredibly excited to now have my own platform to share my love and passion for flowers directly with my community.
